WHAT WE KEEP
AND WHY.
Updated November 4, 2026. This notice covers the FestMob launch waitlist and limited planning beta.
What we collect
Your email address, when you signed up, the version of the launch-update consent you accepted and, if you joined from a festival page, which festival it was. We use this to maintain the waitlist and send FestMob launch updates. We don’t ask for payment information or create an app account.
What happens to it
We store the list with our hosting and database providers. We may use an email delivery provider to send updates. We do not sell your email address or share it for other companies’ marketing. We keep it while running the launch waitlist and updates, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Beta accounts and private plans
If you choose to sign in to the beta, we store the identity supplied by your sign-in provider, including your provider identifier, name, email and available profile image. We use this to recognize your account across web and iPhone. We do not receive your Apple or Google password. Provider tokens are encrypted in our database.
We store the Mobs you create or join, festival suggestions, votes, checklist items, messages, replies, membership and invitations so your crew can plan together. Members of a Mob can see its shared plan. Session records and basic request information, including IP address and browser information, support sign-in, expiry, revocation and abuse prevention. Accounts and planning data are stored with our hosting and database provider, Railway, and retained to operate the beta unless deleted following your request.
You can edit your name, add a nickname, upload or remove a photo, and optionally save a home city and country. Mob members see your chosen display name and photo; your email and home location stay private. Photos are resized and image metadata is removed. Profile photos are available only to you and people who currently share a Mob with you. We may copy your available Google profile photo into FestMob storage.
Your Mob conversation combines messages and planning activity. Current members can read its shared history. Removed messages leave a placeholder and their text is cleared. You can report a message to your organizer or hide another member’s messages for yourself in that Mob; votes and planning updates remain visible. Reports and optional report details are visible to the Mob organizer and authorized FestMob support staff investigating a report. Staff access to a reported item requires a case reference and is recorded. The support console does not provide browsing of unrelated private conversations. Contact hello@festmob.com for concerns involving your organizer.
Authorized support staff can look up basic account information by an exact identifier to handle a support, privacy or safety case, and can restrict abusive accounts or revoke sessions. Administrative access, account controls and support-case references are recorded in restricted audit history. Staff passkey public keys are stored for verification; private keys stay with the authenticator. Audit records exclude message text and authentication secrets and are reviewed for retention after 180 days, subject to unresolved safety cases and retention obligations.
Your choices
Custom event details stay private to the Mob you create. If you separately suggest a festival for the directory, we save the details, your account identifier and any notes for review. You and authorized FestMob reviewers can see your request and its status. Approved festival names, locations, dates and official links become public; your identity and request notes do not. We keep requests and review decisions to operate and maintain the directory. Contact us to request correction or deletion.
Every launch email will include an unsubscribe link. To ask for access, correction, deletion, or to withdraw your consent before the first email, contact hello@festmob.com. We’ll use your address only to handle your request.
The same contact can help with beta account and planning-data access, correction or deletion. Tell us if your request concerns a Mob you organize so we can address the shared plan with you.
Cookies and browser data
This page doesn’t use advertising trackers or an analytics cookie. Submitting the form sends your address to our server. The site and its hosting provider may process basic request data for security and delivery; we avoid logging signup request bodies.
Signing in to the beta uses necessary session cookies. On iPhone, session credentials use the device’s secure storage. These support your account and are not advertising cookies.
Before joining the waitlist
Joining the waitlist means you agree to receive FestMob launch updates. Signup is free. It does not guarantee app admission, a launch date, festival access, tickets, or rewards. Creating a beta account does not subscribe you to launch emails.
